Rough and Shaky

Pull it Together
Another rough day today. I think I wanted to jump right out of my skin, just right on out of it. I slept in late on purpose to get as much rest as possible. I woke up the same as I went to bed last night. I didn’t want to deal with it, I hate feeling sad and lonely. Once I got moving for real this morning I went straight to doing homework, I had to do something to keep my brain distracted. It took a while before I could muster up the real energy I needed to get moving and get out of bed for more than a few minutes. Once the homework was out of the way I still had to keep moving for survival. So I took my Volvo on an adventure. I got my haircut, had the emissions checked (PASSED!), and then we returned home.
The whole rest of the afternoon consisted of me taking apart the Volvo and working on some things. I didn’t have the energy to be outside all day but I made it happen. I tried to stopping and coming inside but I was only inside a few minutes before I realized I couldn’t stop. I needed to have something to distract my mind and keep my hands working. In other words I needed to burn every bit of energy in my system so my brain had no more to run wild with. Working on the car works for me right now because I can physically do the work it needs but it requires a little concentration and brain power which keeps me in a slightly better place than I would be otherwise. Hey it even gets me outside too, during the winter time I am an inside being. I don’t do the cold. Not at all. So for now this system works,

I had some friends over this evening, also to keep me distracted after dark when I could no longer burn energy with the car(it’s really not that broken). We played clue. I don’t play board games often, turns out those require focus and brain power with a side of memory. Dang, fresh out of those.
I am probably one of the worst people to play with, or at least in this current state. In Clue you have to remember the other players characters names....yea I can’t do that. Mr green, Sargent plum, orchids, I don’t know but every time I had to take my turn and pretend I knew what was happening I would look at the friend I wanted to accuse and say-so who are you?
It really was fun to play, but it made me feel lost and stupid. I accomplished my goal of not being alone and socializing while also keeping my brain distracted. I enjoyed it. I promise. I think..I don’t remember much of what happened, I was a space cadet. Lost in space searching my brain for a place not infected with cobwebs.
While everyone else was playing the game or talking I was trying to figure it who was who.

Eventually the games ended and we only had one other person here. It was nice, I was tired but I had someone to socialize with for a little bit until I was ready to check in for the night.
None of my close friends came, it was more so my sisters crowd. Nothing wrong with that but when all my friends had something else to do it made me self conscious a bit. I have the paranoia of why can’t I be the one they are busy with? Why am I always the one searching out for one of my friends, never the one that gets chosen. In other words, I’m the first to be needed if someone wants something but last to be picked for a get together. I may even be wrong and I can’t see it, I know I’m paranoid. These are some of the thoughts that haunt me.

Last week my doctor told me I was one of his difficult cases. At the clinic I see people with canes, walkers, and wheelchairs-those are supposed to be the difficult ones. I can walk, I work part time, school full time, have a social life, and have two semi demanding hobbies. I am not perfect and awesome at all of these things, my energy does waver and my progress with these things can suffer. But I don’t consider myself one of the more difficult ones. It was just a tad unsettling, I’ve been in treatment for years and I can see how some people are way better than I am at this point. My symptoms are just very clingy, I have never had a perfect 0 on the pain scale of a perfect 10 on the energy scale, it just doesn’t happen for me. I just suck at sitting down and not being productive, I have to keep swimming or I feel useless.
I am hoping that this last visit to the clinic will be a big turnaround. It always takes me a few days to recover from traveling home from the clinic and starting the new remedies. I know I am in the beginning of the detox period where I’ll feel funky for a while then one day I’ll wake up and feel like a cloud was lifted. I just have to wait for that day.

I know I am making progress. I see it in my bloodwork and in my skin even. I’ve been told I look better than I used to.
Before started at the clinic two years ago my skin had started taking on a pale purple complexion. Those days are gone. My face looks human again, some days I don’t even have big purple circle under my eyes. I know these all mean positive things and my face does usually reflect how I feel. Unfortunately very few people actually pay much attention to how I look. People notice that I didn’t brush my hair but rarely does anyone notice I’m pale or zoned out. Funny how that is....vanity is obvious but whose going to notice if I’m present in the moment.

I have officially rambled for a whole post. I think I’ve been typing for 45 minutes now....I don’t even remember what I started this post off with. Another goal accomplished, I think I have finally burned my energy candle for the day and I can go to sleep
*sigh*

Fourth Day 2018

Today was my second to last day of treatment for this round. The doctor worked on me a fair bit this afternoon. He focused on brain things mainly, he also found a gut bacteria issue causing my brain to be affected. He said my gut issues could be causing a lot of the psychological issues I have, so I have strong hope that the new remedies to fix this will work quickly.
He also found more of those good old heavy metals that my body seems to accumulate along with halogens. So we will be continuing metal detox once again. Each visit this seems to become less of a priority, I know it’s gettkng better. I just need to keep patient.
He took me of NAC and another metal detox supplement, so 2 things have been taken off my supplement list this go round. I was kinda hoping for some more supplements to be eliminated, maybe next time.

So far I think this has been a productive trip. I have several new gut and brain supplements which I have never tried before. My appetite is usually very lacking and eating a significant amount leads to my stomach aching. These new enzymes and herbs should begin to turn that around.

Grey Skin and Red Juice...what

Haha, a kitten different from my normal title themes right?

Sauna Update
This week I have been trying to get back in the swing of what my routine is supposed to be. That includes, sauna twice a week. Today I only last in the sauna about 20 minutes, which isn't long enough. Usually I do 30-35 min, 130F.
I guess this is a sign I need to be more consistent. It's just been so hot outside, getting in a hot sauna just does not sound fun...but hey, it makes me feel better and that IS fun. So I'll do it.
As long as my mind doesn't forget...which its all to good at.

On another note, I have an interesting story about using the sauna recently. After I get out of the sauna I usually go and take a shower. I use baking soda on my lymph nodes around my armpit to help  clear them out(more on this later), and because baking soda is also an exfoliator it removes dead skin. Here's the odd part, the baking soda and dead skin turned blue...like bright grey almost teal blue. Also there was a lot of dead skin, which Is another unusual thing...
My thoughts are maybe heavy metals coming out after my short sauna hiatus??

My Diet
I'm a diet nut. Not a secret, but I suck at eating. For whatever reason I can't eat much food before I feel extremely full or even nauseas. To avoid either of these happening I have found a select few foods that are easy to make and take little energy to produce, anyone who eats healthy(low sugar/GF/DF) knows these foods are few and far between.
So I tend to get bored with food and start eating junk food that I don't need to be. Not because I want it but because I just get sick of eating the same food day in and day out, over and over.
It's time to get back into healthy eating, consistently. I haven't really been that bad, but I would feel better if I cut the crap out altogether.
So today I made a big glass of juice, two actually. One to drink and one for breakfast when I don't feel like cooking.
Instead of the usual green juice I mixed it up and made red juice using strawberries, plums(from a friends tree, kale, carrots, pomegranate, spinach, and ginger. It wasn't bad, tasted a little odd...but I've made worse lol

Second Day of Treatment

Still impressed with the methods and results here at the Hansa Center!
I met with Dr Jowdy yesterday morning. He tested me on some remedies and started me on 4 different bottles.
What I really liked is how he was able to test me on so many different remedies, find the correct combination, and then mix them into 3 different bottles. So I am taking more than I did before, just compacted. He did some more testing as far as pathogens and toxins go, heavy metals and mycoplasma are the highest priorities my body is talking about.
When he was doing the testing for everything it was interesting to see how the results changes after adding a remedy.
For example when he was looking for a remedy he checked ammonia after adding in the remedy. The ammonia went from being concentrated in my heart/liver/brain into being splattered everywhere. He added something else to it, the ammonia disappeared entirely.
The first remedy pushes my body into releasing the ammonia then the second pushed it into detoxifying it out.
The same thing happened for heavy metals.

The therapies they had me so yesterday were-massage, infrared sauna, LUX(abdomen), powerplate, q-laser, Bemer, and ST8. After doing all of this I feel extremely tired. Some of this stuff I wasn't so sure about like the LUX but even that does change how I feel when I'm doing it.

I fell asleep about 8-8:30pm then woke up from 10:30-4, getting up this morning at 8:50.
My sleep has certainly changed, my sleep quality has improved. Sleep timing is all over the place. Dr.Jowdy said its a good thing that I have started sleeping deeper and it's a good start.

At the moment it is easier for me to post yesterday's information, so tomorrow I will post about today and so on.
This therapy is making a difference in my symptoms and is really wearing me out.

Christmas has Begun!

Thanksgiving is now over, the Christmas season has begun! More radio stations are playing Christmas music, the neighbors are putting up their decorations, and I am starting to get excited :)

I, being chronically ill, usually feel worse in the colder winter months. Its cold, I stay inside, and overall it is just a more stressful time for me. December through March or so are the worst...This year, I want to make this change. I have plans this December, I don't want to feel nasty and depressed.
I have decided to challenge myself. Beginning today I plan on making sure I do everything I can from diet to detox to supplements, to feel better for Christmas.

In one of my previous posts I mentioned that me and food, don't get along well. Its not that I don't like eating, my stomach just doesn't like food...I eat all the time, I just don't seem to absorb it.
Juicing has always been my best food in the past, if I juice consistently I can guarantee I will feel a little better. Sometimes a lot better, sometimes just less dead. Either way, I take it :) better is sometimes the only option with this disease.

Starting today, I am going drink at least one homemade juice daily, drink a protein shake daily, and consume 3 healthy meals a day made from whole foods. I know this will make me feel better, even if its just a little bit.
I am going to post recipes and tips on how to eat healthy, even on the crappy days when I don't want to get out of bed. I want to feel good at least one day before the year is over, and by gosh I am going to make it happen!!

So here it is, the beginning of Operation feel good for Christmas.
Broccoli, sweat potato, zucchini, apple, lemon, and Brussels Sprout juice!

Yum! :)

This is just the beginning, I will have more to share later on!

I also want to challenge anyone else suffering from chronic illness. It can be anything, doesn't have to be juicing daily or a diet change. I just want to challenge others to do what it takes, just for a few weeks so they can get a short break from the extremes of our sickness. While I totally recommend a healthier diet and juicing for anyone with any ailment, its just not an option for everyone. Smoothies, soups, beans, and nuts are other great foods to ensure a better diet, just a thought for anyone who is considering the challenge and does not want to buy a juicer.

This comes to a total of 9,160 pills!!! Except for 3 bottles(Artemisia, 5MTHF, and Dopalift), I didn't count anything I am taking currently. I didn't even count the liquids which includes the doxy and cryptolepis.
Almost 10,000 pills and I am still sick! This is just wrong. Most of these were in the last 1.5 years. What the heck.

I know some things aren't even included, like Dr.L had me take 3 rounds of mebendazole, 2 weeks each, and 2 rounds biltricide. IV drugs aren't counted. Essential oils weren't counted. And a few other miscellaneous things weren't counted. All of these have also been significant in my treatments.

Looking back, only a few of these were helpful. The cryptolepis tincture, DMSA, Ledum, and IV drugs made anything lasting. Houttuynia was also helpful, it was definitely killing something, I started at 1/4 tsp once a day and it made me feel horrible. I felt like I was going crazy. I would get this spacey feeling, I would become depressed at night, and I couldn't focus. It was one of the worst herxes I have ever had. The sad part is, idk if it gave me any lasting effects. It is traditionally used for Bartonella, which I have never been positive for. I decided to try it to see if bart would start showing up positive at the ND. Babesia never showed up until I started taking cryptolepis, I started taking it and I started testing positive on the bio machine. I thought the houttuynia would do the same for bart if I have it.

The ND has tried to push several of these products on me, especially several of the vitamins and Nutriwest. They are fine products, but they aren't what I need. What I need is to strengthen my body and get my body to kill the bacteria.
The probiotics definitely helped my stomach and candida. Before I tried the modified GAPS diet I had extremely high serotonin, which is made in the gut. After the diet and probiotics, its now too low actually. All of my neurotransmitters are low now. I will be making a post about this in the future. I just have to figure out....where did I put those test results...

In my next post I am going to highlight my current protocol and possible changes.

I wanted to right more...but it took about two hours to type all of this out.

Autism and Lyme Disease

Earlier today I shared this blog on G+. This is an amazing blog written by a mother whose two children developed autism. She had to rise above the standard medical system, which has no cure for autism, to save her two children from a life long tether to prescriptions.

This mother, Jessica, successfully treated her two boys. I bet you have never even heard of anything like this! She was able to completely reverse autism in both of her children, using natural methods.
You have to check this out. Not everyone understands the cause of autism, or that it can be reversed when treated correctly. She goes deep into the cause of their cases, which included heavy metal toxicity and food allergies.

The reason I am sharing this with you is because the natural treatment of autism is fairly similar to how lyme disease is treated.
The point is to remove what is blocking your body from healing, heavy metals, allergic foods, toxic foods, etc.
When you take away the reason your body cannot heal, it can begin to repair itself. That is when we can achieve optimum health. On paper it is that simple, by removing the cause, the symptom will also be removed. Its practicing your own specific protocol that will lead to healing. We are all  toxic from different pollutants, everyone is their own individual when it comes to health.

Their treatment involved parasite cleanses, hair tests for heavy metals, stool tests to check gut bacteria, and herbs along with vitamins to help their bodies heal.
I have done all of this actually for my lyme treatment! I have already posted about my chelation journey, Jessica is where is learned about the method I used.

At some point in the future I will post some of the other tests I have done along with nearly all of the supplements I have taken up to this point. I have had neurotransmitter tests, stool tests, liver and kidney, genetic tests, allergy panels, etc.

She used all of these same things on her children. Another thing that worked well for both of us was homeopathy. I had great results when I was taking ledum palustre, it just didn't last for me and I couldn't find an alternative. One day I will get back into this.

Jessica also had her children tested for lyme disease, which has been found to be fairly common in autistic people. She writes about this on her blog, I guess you will just have to read it to find out more...
