Awesome Blogs and Resources

In my free time

I love reading! Reading is how I learned nearly all of the information I know on tick related diseases or chronic disease in general. I love reading internet articles, books, forums, and other blogs. This list may help you jump start your own research! It can be a daunting task trying to learn as much as possible as fast as possible!

If you have chronic lyme these articles may help you

The Spoon theory - I have found this article helpful in explaining to others how I feel and what makes being sick so complicated

Touched by Lyme Article-At least it isn't Cancer - This article, for me anyway, has been helpful for sharing with others some of the frustrations of what its like to have a disease that no one else can see

I highly recommend these blogs

LymeMD written by Dr. Jaller, a well known LLMD who spends much of his free time looking for better ways to treat his ailing patients. He has catalogued many of his patients cases and their outcomes, great to checkout if you are taking the antibiotic route and looking for other people's experience!

Ticks and Trust, this blog is written by a Canadian mom who was infected in 2006. She chronicles her journey and her sons journey with lyme disease. Shannon and her son had to travel from BC, Canada to San Francisco, CA to receive treatment. They have both gone to great length searching for relief. Their faith is never ending.

Lady of Lyme written by another Lyme warrior, Christina. She was diagnosed with lyme in 2011 and has suffered from all of the common issues related to lyme, thyroid, difficulty getting diagnosed, gut problems, and nutrient insufficiency.

Key Lyme Pie written by a fellow Lyme disease sufferer. She suffered from heart ailments and POTs induced by Lyme disease and co infections. (oops, appears she has disappeared from the internet..)

Blah Blah Blah written by Jessica Madson, a mother of two and a Lyme sufferer herself.

Victoria's Journey With Stage 3 Lyme disease, written by Victoria Wilgues. Victoria was also a teenager when she was diagnosed.

My Fight Against Lyme Disease, this blog is written by a mom who was able to achieve remission, but then relapsed now she is back to square one, where she had already started from several years before.

Other health blogs I read include-

Wellness Mama, written by Katie. Katie shares about her family, foods, recipes, and natural remedy tips! I have been using her website for years, I have probably been following the longest out of all m
y websites. One of her articles I loved was this about oil pulling.

Here are a few books that may interest you

  1. Hello,

I am a doctor with chronic illness (chronic Lyme disease, reactivated EBV, POTS, and autoimmune disease). I have been homebound due to illness for 5 years. Recently I decided to start a blog to help spread awareness of chronic illness.

I recently came this article about blogs to follow. I was wondering if you would mind taking a look at my blog and adding it to your list if you find it is up to your standards.
