Resolving the Situation

Guess what guys, only a few weeks before I go back to the Hansa Center! I am excited to go back and further my treatment. Each visit to the clinic has brought me to a better place physically and mentally. I still struggle with symptoms in between visits, so I will for sure be talking to my doctor about what to do. I will be treated for a week(5days) just like my last visit in April,

Anyway, I am glad to say this week has been so much better than last week. The last few weeks I haven't felt so hot, and I've had the gloom and doom thoughts. It all eventually manifested into another symptom, kidney pain. My kidneys began hurting again, at the same time all of my other symptoms skyrocketed.
When this occurred, it hit me-I can do something about this. Back around November my ND found I had a minor UTI, which manifested as side pain. They gave me a bag of herbs to make tea out of and it worked out well. My pain stopped after drinking the tea for a week.
So last week I made myself another batch of tea. I can't remember all of the ingredients, I know the tea contains marshmallow root and uva ursi. I made up the tea and drank 8oz twice a day. Hallelujah, a few days later I'm starting to feel my normal again. The doom and gloom disappeared, my skin even began clearing up.

Now after going through a pitcher of tea, I'm doing very well. The first three days of this week I spent over an hour outside laying in the sun. I know my vitamin D levels are low, it's been a while since I spent significant time outdoors. The heat will also help my joints, which are often cold.
I believe this has given me a little bit of an edge, since starting sun bathing my sugar cravings went away. It's not normal for me to crave junk food, but recently I have wanted more and more of the nasty foods. Maybe Candida is flairing.
I also have a small, quarter sized, yeast rash on my hip. So I suspect maybe my kidney infection/UTI (whatever it was) was yeast related. Just a thought.

Yesterday and today I exercised a little, it wasn't much but it sure made me happy. My body loves to reject any tiny physically straining, so a little weight lifting and stretching feels amazing when my body allows. My joins are less tight and cold and my back is more limber now, I love it.
In total I exercised 5-7 minutes both days, I pray this can become a regular part of my health routine.

I'm glad to have something positive to write for a change!!

Christmas Eve already!

I cannot believe that it is Christmas eve already! It feels like yesterday was Thanksgiving...time flys

I am still sick, runny nose, tired, and side pain. The symptoms are the worst in the morning becoming more tolerable throughout the day. I just keep drinking Cold Eze tea and swallowing essential oil pills. Its making a difference but its been hard trying to get ahead of this. Definitely easier last time I was sick.

Because of my sinuses draining into my stomach I haven't felt like eating at all. Its just uncomfortable and the kidney infection probably is not helping. The slippery elm blend tea is making a difference in my side pains. They typically diminish within a short time of drinking it. So if anything that's one symptom that isn't too unbearable.

ND Today!

Today was my regularly scheduled ND appointment! It went well.

Like I mentioned yesterday, I've been feeling crappy since I woke up yesterday morning. So today I talked about that with the ND.
During the usual biofeedback testing and searching for my current infection mycoplasma showed up. Great.
I had a feeling it would show up...usually mycoplasma is the cause of recurrent sinus infections. I had one a few weeks ago and as of yesterday, a second. Here is the best part...not just one but 4 strains showed up.

Go big or go home folks.

The one infection I have so hoped I actually avoided by some miracle, I contracted anyway. Awesome.
At the moment, I am not going to worry about it. I am on several things already which should already have it covered good enough. If not, I go to the Hansa Center in just a few weeks! That will knock it out for sure.
I have been tested for mycoplasma several times, blood and biofeedback. Not one positive before today. So my guess is it is not a chronic infection I have had at high levels for a while now.
I'm sure I have had some level of mycoplasma the whole time, most people do. Just like with candida, most people have it just not at high, infection causing levels.

Another thing showed up for a change. Its something I have been saying for a while now...
I have a kidney infection. Let me put on my shocked face.
My stomach, kidneys, and bladder have some kind of bacterial infection going on-kidneys taking the biggest hit.
Unknown what bacteria specifically, could be mycoplasma.
So the ND had me start a UTI tea made from Marshmallow root and slippery elm bark. Doesn't taste bad, I just hope it knocks it out. I do not want a chronic stomach/kidney infection. Not at all.

It was nice leaving the ND today with only a tea and a homeopathic for colds, both temporary. I don't get to do that much!

There is good news, my usual infections-rickettsia, lyme, babesia, virus, etc did not show up today. So they aren't at astronomical levels today. Probably because the mycoplasma and kidney stress overshadowed it, but still. Ill take it.

Today was a good day though, I felt better than yesterday by a long shot. I expect tomorrow to be a good day :)

Only a few weeks left before I go to the Hansa Center for treatment, its getting exciting. Just knowing that in a few weeks I could feel like a different person is amazing. This morning I had my blood drawn for the visit, I checked out the bloodwork panel, looks very thorough. I cant wait to see what all it says about me.

Artemisia, Cinchona, and Black Walnut

Hello my friends!
The new supplements for babesia arrived today!
A few posts ago I said I was ordering cinchona bark, artemisa combinations, and black walnut hull. I did this because I have been stuck in a babesia flair, this should help knock it down a peg. Here is some info I found on the herbs-

Cinchona bark is used for malaria treatment in South America. Traditionally ground and made into a tea for usage.
Quinine, which can be derived from cinchona bark, has been used as a traditional drug for malaria in North America. Quinine is no longer used for malaria treatment because of possible side affects.
However, the synthetic versions of drugs are nearly always much less safe than what they were derived from, so the bark should not have these side effects at low dosages.
I am going to drink a cup of tea daily.

Artemisia and its derivatives have been used in Lyme/babesia treatment for a long time. Many of the prominent LLMD's use Artemisia or artemisinin in their treatment protocols. It is also an antimalarial that is effective against babesia. It is typically taken in a capsule, 3 days on, 4 days break. It is said Artemisia builds up in the tissue and should be discontinued to allow it to clear. If it isn't allowed to clear it cannot be utilized by the body, it becomes desensitized. I don't know if its true or not, sounds kinda odd to me.
I am going to take 2 pills, 3x a day, three days on 4 off.

The black walnut is not for babesia (as far as I know), but it is good for killing parasites and yeast. Because Artemisia is also a parasite cleanser, although weaker than black walnut, I wanted to pair the two for a stronger effect. I take this every few months then take a break.
I am going to take 2, 3x a day, 15 days on, 5 off. Taking five days off is supposed to allow the parasite eggs to hatch, then restarting the herb will kill them after they hatch.

Here are my herbs after unboxing

I made a cup of cinchona tea. I had to grind the bark using the coffee grinder to make it into a powder.
I mixed 1tsp of the powder in a cup of boiling water and let it sit for a while.
Its not bad, kinda bitter. It has a unique flavor, with a texture like a raw sweet potato(know what I mean?) I can definitely take this without much difficulty daily. Its weird, but not bad.

Here is the finished product. The bark needed to be ground a little more, but hey, it was my first try!

I have already taken my first dose of everything. I became very fatigued late this afternoon, almost took a nap because of it. Wonder if it was a short herx? After I finished everything I had to do for the day I sat down, about 6:00pm. I almost fell asleep! I didn't get up for almost two hours. I am still tired, but on the days this happens...I know I wont sleep during the night. I can only pick one time to rest, today my body picked the late afternoon. I never know what to expect with this disease, its like a roller coaster.

One last thing, I emailed the ND today, asking him what I should do about my Dopalift situation.
He told me to half the capsule and try again tomorrow.
So tomorrow I am going to take half a Dopalift at 8:00am.

In my last post I said I was going to try taking it at 8am this morning, but my alarm didn't go off. Slept right on through... I didn't think about halving it, I am kinda glad I forgot.

Until next time!
